Hidden Lakes Estates' Events

Hidden Lakes Estates has a strong sense of community. An active Homeowner's Association sponsors several community events throughout the year. Our big events include an Easter Parade and Egg Hunt, an Independence Day Celebration, and a fall social (theme changes yearly). Smaller events include New Resident Parties, the Christmas Eve Luminary display, and the Holiday Cookie Exchange.

Easter

Over 75 children under 10 hunted for eggs at the 2001 Easter Parade and Egg Hunt. Kids decorated bikes and strollers for the parade led by the Placer Country Fire truck. The Easter Bunny charmed the group. Pastel balloons floated in the air. Bagels, donuts and coffee were served. After the parade, the kids split into four age groups to hunt for treat-filled eggs.

Independence Day Celebration

The carnival games were the hit at our 2001 Independence Day Celebration (held in June). The 6 booth carnival offered five games; ring toss, ball-n-bowl, golf, velcro darts, and bean bag toss. The prize booth, however, was the favorite booth; offering glow necklaces and bracelets, Tootsie pops, splash balls, bubbles, Matchbox cars, and more. The kids loved the glow necklaces and bracelets. An extended fireworks show over the upper lake included a waterfall display and a "blazing" barge on the lake.

Fall Event

Our 2001 Fall Event was the Western Round-Up and BBQ. Attended by over 300 people, the event started with field games; three-legged races, gunny sack races, and tug-o-war. Pony rides, a bounce house, crafts, face painting, and a jail were available for the kids to enjoy. The Saloon was available for adults to enjoy. Community members cooked up an awesome meal of tri-tip, chicken, salad, beans, and bread. Later, the DJ played music and everyone kicked up their heals in the hay on the "Golden Horseshoe" stage.
